YOUR GUIDE TO THE 55th ANNUAL AWGIE AWARDS

The Australian Writers’ Guild is excited to welcome our nominees, members and guests to celebrate the 55th Annual AWGIE Awards and the 60th Anniversary of the Guild this Thursday 17 November 2022.

Where: The Everest Theatre, Seymour Centre
Cnr City Rd and Cleveland St, Chippendale NSW 2008
When: Thursday 17 November 2022
Doors open: 6pm AEDT for drinks and canapes
AWGIE Awards Ceremony starts: 7pm AEDT

The AWGIE Awards will run for approximately 2.5 hours. Following the Awards, guests are invited to join us in the foyer for drinks, music and more food! For detailed information on your visit to the Seymour Centre, including access, please refer to their website HERE

GETTING TO THE SEYMOUR CENTRE
The Seymour Centre has a detailed guide to transport and parking available HERE. Parking is available at the Shepherd St multi-storey car park located on the corner of Cleveland St and Shepherd St. 

The Seymour is a 10 minute walk from Redfern Station via Ivy St. From Central Station, it’s a 20 minute walk via Cleveland St. There is a bus stop outside the Seymour on City Rd, with frequent services throughout the day. Visit Transport for NSW to plan your journey.

COVID-19 GUIDELINES
The health and wellbeing of our AWG members, guests and staff is the Australian Writers’ Guild and Seymour Centre’s highest priority. For information on the Seymour Centre’s COVID-19 guidelines, including their COVID-19 safety plan, see HERE.  

If you’re COVID-19 positive, feeling unwell with COVID-19 symptoms, awaiting COVID-19 test results, or have been otherwise advised to self-isolate by NSW Health, please don’t attend.

The Australian Writers’ Guild encourages all AWGIE Award attendees to wear a face mask when inside the Seymour Centre foyer and theatre, except if eating or drinking. Free face masks will be available for ALL attendees when you arrive, and we encourage you to pick one up if you have not brought your own. 

BOOKING A TICKET
Tickets are available for AWG members and guests via the Seymour Centre website HERE.

If you are an AWGIE Award nominee and you have not booked your ticket, please refer to your nominee email or contact [email protected] for details.

Please make sure you have your PDF ticket printed or available on your phone to check your seat number. Your PDF ticket will be attached to the booking confirmation email from the Seymour Centre. If your ticket was organised by the AWG, it will be available to pick up from the Seymour Centre Box Office upon arrival.

LIVE STREAM
The AWGIE Awards will be available to watch for all AWG members via Live stream. The official link to the AWGIE Awards can be found HERE, and will be sent to all members on Thursday 17 November 2022, so keep an eye on your inbox if you plan to watch along from home!
