WRITERS & DIRECTORS WORLDWIDE pledge support for Australian screenwriters

AWG and AWGACS were encouraged to receive overwhelming support for their case for fair remuneration from the international association Writers & Directors Worldwide (WDW).WDW gave its wholehearted backing to the AWG and AWGACS in both their battle for fairness against Screenrights and their opposition to the recommendations by the Productivity Commission that Australia’s copyright protections should be watered down by the introduction of a US-style “fair use” provision.
