2007 FOXTEL FELLOWSHIP FOR EXCELLENCE IN TELEVISION WRITING

The FOXTEL Fellowship, a joint initiative between the Australian Writers’ Guild and FOXTEL, was presented to Mac Gudgeon at the 40th Annual AWGIE Awards held.

The FOXTEL Fellowship recognises the contribution of television writing to the development of the Australian cultural landscape, rewards and encourages excellence and achievment and facilitates the development of quality new screen projects. It marks a significant level of confidence in Australian writing talent.

Mac Gudgeon is a renowned Australian television writer whose credits include Halifax f.p.: Sweet Dreams, Halifax f.p.: The Feeding, Dogwoman: A Grrl's Best Friend, Good Guys Bad Guys, Stingers and the seminal television mini-series, Waterfront.

The Fellowship is judged on a body of work that is considered impressive in its craft, scope and impact.

Applications to the 2008 FOXTEL Fellowship will open in April 2008. Full details will be posted as they become available.
