AWG WA - Creating Narrative Comedy - SOLD OUT!

THIS COURSE HAS REACHED MAXIMUM NUMBERS
A Two-Day Course with Tim Ferguson exploring the principles of creating and writing narrative comedy for television and film. Participants will be shown how to construct a sitcom or narrative comedy from the ground up, making choices in terms of theme, sub-genre, character, structure, morality, style and tone. The course focuses upon the principles of jokes and narrative humour.

The Australian Writers Guild (AWG) has once again joined forces with FremantleMedia Australia to present the Neighbours Scriptwriter Training Initiative. The initiative provides the opportunity for two writers to join the Neighbours writing team for six weeks as trainee storyliners and learn what it takes to write for Australia’s favourite serial.

$25,000 FOXTEL Fellowship Awarded for Significant Contribution to Television

The Australian Writers’ Foundation and FOXTEL are pleased to announce that the recipient of the 2009 FOXTEL Fellowship is prolific television writer Christopher Lee. The announcement was made at the 42nd Annual AWGIE Awards held this evening at Doltone House, Sydney.
